Discovery Girls Magazine focuses on girls across the country, and each issue focuses on one state. Once a state is selected, subscribers in that state are notified and can submit a questionnaire to be selected as one of the twelve girls from that state who will appear in the issue. Girls are chosen based on their enthusiasm and personality, as well as their ability to be good role models for the magazine’s readers.

In addition to the featured profiles, each issue contains other regular columns such as Embarrassing Moments, celebrity interviews, Mailbag, and an advice column, Ask Ali.
